This easy recipe requires three simple ingredients and very little hands on time to create a mouthwatering dish you can use it lots of ways.
Preheat the oven to 90°C / 195°F then peel all cloves from one head of garlic. Each garlic bulb will usually give you 10-15 cloves.
Add the peeled garlic cloves to a 5-inch / 13cm pan or ramekin, completely cover with olive oil, then add thyme sprigs on top.
Place the pan or ramekin in the oven and cook for 2 hours. You want the cloves to soften, not fall apart completely or burn.
Spread on toast, add to mashed potatoes, use in salad dressings, or add to soups. Keep in an airtight container in the fridge for 4 days then discard any leftovers.
