These chocolate covered dates are rich in flavour and high in nutrients making them a wholesome little snack or dessert. They make great gifts too!
01
Make a slit lengthways down the date and remove the seed. Repeat until all dates have been de-seeded.
02
Add 1 tsp of peanut butter (or your choice of nut or seed butter) into each date then place on a plate in the freezer while you melt the chocolate.
03
Melt chocolate over a double boiler or in the microwave. Remove dates from the freezer and dip into chocolate one by one with two forks.
04
Place chocolate covered dates onto a wire rack or plate lined with baking paper. Add toppings e.g sea salt and place in the fridge for 30mins.
05
Once the chocolate has firmed up serve straight from the fridge. Any leftovers should be stored in the fridge so the chocolate doesn't melt.
